GIRL'S DORM BEDDING SHOPPING TIPS and IDEAS

GO HERE FOR MORE!

Are you in a rush for time to get your teenage girl’s dorm room ready? Here’s a quick and easy way to decorate your teen’s home away from home. Dorm bedding in a box is the co-ed equivalent to the familiar bed in a bag that we’ve grown so accustomed to for use in traditional bedrooms in homes and apartments.

Decorating a teen’s bedroom in your own home can be difficult enough, but decorating the dorm is so more public. Your baby girl is now past the tweens and teens. She now has a distinctive personality and has her own decorating ideas and pictures in her mind of what her bedroom decor should be. It’s likely that funky, wild, geometric prints in purple, green and blue have replaced the horse theme bedding or the pretty pink pretty pink Betty Boop bedding set that she had enjoyed in her early teens.

Don’t make the mistake of heading out to the store or beginning to shop online without your daughter by your side. Let her begin her first venture into the adult world as independently as possible and allow her to make some of her own decisions. Selecting her own dorm room bedding that reflects who she perceives herself to be is an excellent place to start. You may be surprised that her choice in decorations reflects your own good taste. Save your energy for the really important battles and decisions. Set a budget for her dorm room bedding and make out a list of all of the items she will need from comforters to sheets and pillows that you expect her to buy with the allotted amount and turn her loose to do her to do her own bedroom shopping.

Tell her that if she has some money left over after purchasing her bedding that she can have what’s left for something special. You may be amazed to find that she knows her way around the discontinued bedding and closeout sales.
