Now you can carry your Betty Boop wall murals with you wherever you go! These removable wall stickers, decals and appliques can brighten the walls of your favorite soldier's military barracks or turn a college dorm room into a colorful place for Betty to play.

Vary the size of the wallpaper cut outs to cover a large area. Use one large image in the center surrounded by small pictures of Betty in various costumes to design a Betty Boop image gallery of her posing as devilish diva, a sexy French maid or a nurse. Whether your preference is Betty in her classic Marilyn Monroe pose with a boatload of hot air blowing her skirt up to expose her shapely legs or Betty as an Angel of Mercy in a crisp, white nurse's uniform, there are vinyl decals that will get your Betty Boop walls in good shape.

Speaking of good shape; are your walls smooth or are the surfaces rough with less than perfect paint? Betty Boop wall murals can cover those bad spots with clean graphics and nobody will ever know that you took the quick and easy way to give your bedroom a complete makeover without ever having to buy a bucket of paint or operate a paint brush.

When the time comes for you to move on to another location, simply roll up your Betty Boop wallpaper mural pieces and take them with you wherever you go. Add a few new stickers to keep your display fresh and interesting as time goes by and take comfort in knowing that your Betty Boop walls will always be there to lighten the mood in your decor.

TINKERBELL FAIRIES - TINKERBELL DECALS and POSTERS

Tinkerbell- Fathead

Buy at AllPosters.com

Quickly before your tween begins to question whether Peter Pan's Tinkerbell Fairies really exist, pick out one of the Tinkerbell comforter or bedding sets and get it on the bed so that you can enjoy the little girl look in your daughter's bedroom just a little while longer.

After you get that done, you might as well decorate the walls with some Tinkerbell fairies wallies, stickers and decals. Large cut out pictures of Tink in her emerald green dress can share some wall space with butterflies and smaller, less important fairies that are gathered to enchant your visitors and show their support for the celebrity in the group.

If a complete mural centered around Peter Pan's Tinkerbell fairies isn't your cup of tea because of limited area or because you like your wall art to be more traditional and possibly collectible; Tinkerbell posters might be more to your taste. You get the same cute, blonde fairy with a broad array of colors to give your decorating project a lift for an extremely affordable price.

When your daughter reaches the age when her love of fairytales is replaced by teenage romance novels, the comforter can easily be removed and replaced with a more mature design. As the bedding may have made a trip or two through the laundry by this time which will leave the fabric none the worse for wear; tossing it may be your only option. However, your Tinkerbell decals and framed Tinkerbell posters will look just as fresh as the day that you hung them on your preteen's bedroom walls so you can save them for when your child has children of her own or give them to another little girl who adores Tinkerbell fairies and wants a gallery of their pictures in her room.

PINK AND BROWN BEDDING - POLKA DOT COMFORTER and BEDDING SETS

brown and pink polka dot comforter set

GO HERE FOR MORE!

If your little lady thinks too much pink is too much, pink and brown polka dot bedding will keep her bedroom feminine while enjoying the peaceful, soothing atmosphere that earth tones bring to a space. Darker colors alone might rush a sophisticated look that girls in their early teens and tweens aren’t ready for, so steps should be taken to keep the room balanced and age appropriate.

Pink and brown comforter sets don't have to be solid pastel pink on one side and dark on the other. Reversible duvet covers can be a good thing but for a teenage girl’s bedding, we want something lively, funky and bright! Once you get the color scheme right, patterns can play a big role in gently easing your teenage girl into her future role as earth mother.

PINK AND BROWN BEDDING

Pink and brown bedding sets with a polka dot print are one of my all time favorites. Not because I believe bedrooms should be bouncing with wild dots all over the place, but because you can mix and match so many different patterns. Upholster love seats and cushions in fabrics in pastel pink with brown accents or perhaps a rich and luxurious dusty rose and chocolate brown layout if you can manage it without making the bedroom seem too mature. So long as you stick with the same shades of pink and chocolate brown you will be amazed at the number of prints that will add fun as well as a stylish look to your bedroom makeover.

Of course, polka dots aren’t the only way to go. There are pink and brown bed in a bag sets for teens in paisley prints and retro flower power designs right out of the 60s. Once you decide that brown and pink are the way to go, the only remaining decisions are the decorative accessories for the remainder of the bedroom and of course shopping for pink and brown shower curtains to match.

GRAFFITI STREET ART with STYLE

graffiti street art poster print wall
ART PRINTS - Art.com!

Urban graffiti street art or whatever this art form is called in your area might be a good option to explore if your home needs a punch of color and nothing else works. Graffiti art has gotten such a bad reputation because the artists have a nasty habit of defacing public property with it or some symbols are supposed to mark the territories of street gangs. Neither diminishes the fact that many examples are so brilliantly executed that it seems a shame to paint over it or remove it.

Last month I worked with a client that wanted lots of color in her brand new apartment. When I arrived I could see the reason for the request because in spite of the fact that it was new construction there were lighting problems. This was one dark, gloomy apartment with virtually no sunlight and too few light fixtures. On top of it all, there was dark leather upholstery on the sofas and chair.

I knew that the answer to the problem would lie in the large expanse of wall space in the main living area would be the best place for an art display. Actually, the ceilings were so high and the area was so wide that a gallery of large posters and prints would not be out of the question.

Usually the problem that I run into has more to do with trying to make a small room seem larger rather than finding enough cool stuff to fill a room. An added bonus was that the neutral tones in the rest of the room gave me plenty of options as there was no color scheme to work around. The blank canvas that I was being given was a decorator’s dream come true.

I thought that the project was going to be little more than getting the pictures hung on the walls until I found that the owner had no affection for traditional forms of wall art that are colorful. Flowers were too feminine, landscapes weren’t the best fit with their selection of sophisticated, urban style furnishings and fabrics and she just couldn’t seem to make a connection with mainstream abstract art prints. I pulled out some examples of urban graffiti street art prints and posters that were my last resort.

I balanced the graffiti street art posters on the back of the sofa so that she could get a feel for what they might do for the room and I have to admit that even I was amazed. Anyone who has wondered is graffiti an art form worthy of respect should pick up a few graffiti art posters or paintings and inspect them with an open mind. They might be the decorative element that takes your decorating project from boring to extraordinary.

PURPLE BEADED CURTAINS and BOHEMIAN BEDDING and DECOR

GO HERE FOR MORE

I've come to the realization that the right accessories, which in this case are exotic, beaded curtain panels, can transform most any comforter set or an inexpensive bed in a bag into a blissful bohemian dream. There's no need for luxurious silk designer fabrics so long as the jewel tone color scheme is in place. Mix and match the weave as well as the color of decorative materials through the use of over stuffed throw pillows, shams and floor coverings. If you have no objection to your teen girl's boudoir taking on the look of a harem; big comfortable floor pillows and upholstered hassocks would look pretty cool.

Perhaps the key to this style of decor is in the lighting reflected through the beadwork used as window treatments or even to take the place of a closet or bedroom entry door in a pinch. Yards and yards of polyester fabrics to gather and drape for effect cost less than one single yard of raw silk. For a bedroom or college dorm room where chocolate milk or soft drinks and chips will be consumed by giggling teenage girls, the polyester material that can be machine washed is a much more intelligent choice than natural fabrics that will have to be taken to the dry cleaner to remove any stains.

Anchor your faux jewels with earthtones in clever combinations like purple and brown or a rich and luxurious bohemian style purple and green. Hang some lanterns on the walls to resemble something that might be found in a Bedouin chieftain's tent in the desert and your cheap and easy teenage girl's bedroom makeover can be declared a stylish success.
