Shopping for sports bed in a bag sets that will appeal to a girl’s sense of style may stretch a decorator’s imagination and maybe a parent’s decorating budget. Most sports bedding sets are clearly aimed toward boys. A modern girl’s bedroom would be fine with a comforter or duvet cover printed with soccer balls and baseballs (softballs) but it’s rare that footballs are omitted from the mix. And most tweens or even preteens would not be tickled pink with a room decorated with footballs and SEC emblems at this stage of the game.


Once the young lady enters high school or registers for college, she might decorate with her school’s football team mascot or logo but before that day arrives, the sport of football will most likely be off the radar. This creates a decorating dilemma unless:

• you can find yards of sports fabric and make your own

Girly girls who are involved in fast pitch softball, basketball or soccer may want a place to display their trophies on wall shelves and to arrange their framed team pictures on the wall just like boys.
