UNDER THE SEA BEDDING and BEDROOM DECORATIONS

under the sea tropical fish bedding sets and decor

What are your options in under the sea bedding and bedroom decorations? I have some decorating ideas that will have dreams of tropical fish and coral reefs dancing (or should I say swimming?) in your teenage girl’s dreams no matter what your budget may be.

STYLE

It might surprise you to know that the landscape that is hidden under the waves of the ocean is just as diverse as the one we are familiar with on dry land. The species of sea creatures and fish number in the thousands if not millions even with the rate of extinction rising at an alarming rate. Before you begin the decorative process, ask your sea loving princess what her preference might be.
Once your tween moves beyond Sponge Bob and Little Mermaid under the sea bedding and decor, her taste in under the sea bedding will more than likely be less fanciful and more about sun, surf, sailing and sea creatures.

FISH

The first thing that comes to mind when designing an underwater bedroom would be fish. The question is whether angel fish, whales or dolphin bedroom decorations are preferred. Environmentally active individuals appreciate the beauty of whale bedding sets far beyond the blue, pink and purple whale under the sea crib bedding sets of the baby’s nursery. And I have noticed an increase in requests for dolphin bedding sets since swimming with these intelligent sea creatures became a popular vacation activity. Then others seem to want their bedroom to be decorated as one big salt water aquarium with an assortment of tropical fish swimming in underwater murals and in the fabric design of their under the sea bedding set.

COLOR

When decorating an under the sea bedroom for kids, color isn’t an issue as we mentioned earlier in this decorating article. But once children reach the teenage years, they prefer more realistic decorations. As you might imagine, killer whale and dolphin bedding sets offer decorating possibilities in shades of gray, black, ocean blue with touches of white and yellow. For more color, focus on decorations and fabrics printed with tropical fish and coral reefs.

UNDER THE SEA DECORATIONS and DECOR

Decorators on a budget need only to organize a trip to the beach or a scuba diving expedition to gather unique and interesting underwater decorations. Seashells, starfish and driftwood displayed on the walls framed as art or displayed on shelves are natural, appropriate and for the most part, free.
