The species of sea creatures and fish number in the thousands if not millions even with the rate of extinction rising at an alarming rate. Before you begin the decorative process, ask your sea loving princess what her preference might be.
Once your tween moves beyond Sponge Bob and Little Mermaid under the sea bedding and decor, her taste in under the sea bedding will more than likely be less fanciful and more about sun, surf, sailing and sea creatures.

FISH

The first thing that comes to mind when designing an underwater bedroom would be fish. The question is whether angel fish, whales or dolphin bedroom decorations are preferred. Decorators on a budget need only to organize a trip to the beach or a scuba diving expedition to gather unique and interesting underwater decorations. Seashells, starfish and driftwood displayed on the walls framed as art or displayed on shelves are natural, appropriate and for the most part, free.
